Re: (D11 EA) Appeal to Reason
The history of the Mandalorians was a subject near and dear to her heart. She grew up with those tales, as subjects to aspire to. So there was no matter of her knowledge lacking in that departement.
However, all the fear and nervousness that had been bottled up after learning about the Saxon program was spilling out again. A calming stim did help keep the worst of the nerves under control, but there was a chink in her otherwise confident personal armor.
Phoebe was still afraid of how she had almost ended up in this brain-washing scheme herself.
"Vode an!"
"We are Mandalorians!" she swallowed the nervousness for a moment, and let the feeling of fear ride through her - channeling it into her words. "We do not let others define our destinies. Throughout history, we have carved our own paths - our ways have changed, but what has always stayed true through the many changes and upheavals, is that in the end, we are eachothers' families. We are the ones we can rely on. Not the Empire. Not the Republic. And certainly not the cartels, consortiums, hegemonies, and other groups out there. It is your fellow Mandalorians you can trust - that you can believe in. Not those who wish to turn us against eachother. Not those who have tried to erase our history by condemning those wearing the beskar'gam, or painting your fellow Mando'ade as enemies."
"Be true Mando'ade! Do not let others dictate what your honor will be!"

Re: (D11 EA) Appeal to Reason
Phoebe had set the stage so well that he felt pride rising in his heart. A deep breath before speaking calmed him and he gave the Saxon kids his best. It was Commander Kusat in action...
"We are Mandalorians you and I. We live by a code. We have our mandokar. Right now we each have a choice to make.
I do not wish to fight you, but if I have to I will fight to the end. We are Mandalorians, we do not shy away from war. But I would prefer to fight with you, side by side, against our true foes: those who would turn us against one another.
We are the new generation. We will reclaim that which was lost. We will rebuild our cities, our planet, our culture. We can do that together, now. Or waste time and lives, holding ourselves back from our true potential.
To you I say this: we can be better than our past. Our best days, the best days of all Mandalorians, are yet to come. Let us face them as brothers and sisters.
"In the name of the Mand'alor. Oya manda!"
---
Day 11. EA. Appeal to Reason. Speak from the Heart. Leadership Hard. Equipment upgrade. 2 boosts from Command. 1 boost from Phoebe. Destiny flip.: 3eP+1eA+3eB+3eD 3 successes

3 successes = +2 conversion points!

Re: (D11 EA) Appeal to Reason
Riza, in all her wisdom, had picked up tales of the Mandalorians. Truth be told, of course, she wasn't much of a leader. Never intended it to be her strong suit and when she was asked to make a speech that could be played to settle the spirits of young Mandalorians.
Well, it fell flat. Utterly. Still, she was a soldier so she tried. As doomed from the start as it was.

Re: (D11 EA) Appeal to Reason
Axel scratched his head awkwardly. This felt weird. He felt stupid. Speaking into a camera, wearing a mask... he was never good with kids, not even when he was one.
"So, look." He said. "I never knew much about Mandalorians before. Don't know much about them know. But even growing up, I knew that Mandalorians were the biggest badasses in the galaxy."
Axel raised one hand, clenched into a fist. "So there's no stopping this grav-train. You're either on it, or you're under it. And we want you on it with the rest of us." He nodded into the camera. "You've got a place with us if you want it."
