The Right Stuff (Day 1 Late Afternoon)

[Alister Kryze]

Alister cursed under his breath as he left the last stall he had found with access to ore. Not that there were all that many in this damned town. Most of the ore available on Tatooine was trash, but there had been a few mines that produced things worth while. Of Course the Empire had seen the end to most of those.

You didn't let weapons grade materials be mined by just anyone. Grumbling to himself he glanced around the bazaar. Maybe there was something he had missed?

Coryn was wandering around the bazaar too. He was mainly looking for clues that might point to the presence of their target, or fun bits of tech that he couldn't afford...yet.

Spying Alister he walked over and gave the man a friendly smile. "Nothing catch your eye yet?"

[Alister Kryze]

The other man gave a noncommittal grunt in reply. "Seems like the mining outfit I was looking for closed doors." He offered after a moment.

"They sold some ore I liked the last time I was here, but seems like I may be out of luck this time."

[Coryn Kusat]

Coryn stroked his beard a moment. "Huh. Well we could ask around and see if they got bought out by a new company? Could be the mine just changed hands. Otherwise I guess there might be some last stock sitting in someone's warehouse?."

He looked around for some Jawas or anyone who looked like they might know something about mining, or at least flogging raw materials.

[Alister Kryze]

"Couldn't hurt." The armorer offered after a thoughtful moment. "Could be someone will know something."

"Was a place named Harrington mining, by the way." His lips curled into a ghost of a smile.

Coryn and Alister walked around the Bazaar together chatting to the varied storekeepers. His winning personality didn't get them a direct lead on the Harrington mine, but he did generate plenty of goodwill. Perhaps all this facetime would prove useful after all?

It likely would down the line, he earned more then one admiring glance from some of the women tending shops after all. One forward young woman even offered to meet him for dinner after her shift was over.

Leads were few and far between though, and the only thing that was mentioned more then once was check in at one of the hunters lodges. Apparently they did a lot of protection work for some of the mining outfits.

Coryn took it all in his stride. Maybe he would be back for dinner. Didn't hurt to make some (just) good friends (honest)...

"What do you think Alister? Got time to check out a Hunter's lodge? I can spare a few hours if it'll help." He shrugged. "I think there was one just out of town."

[Alister Kryze]

"I got some time." The other man agreed after a moment. "None of my projects are on a time table. At least not yet."

He glanced around the bazaar. "Maybe you can get one of those ladies you were flirting with to give us some directions?"

[Coryn Kusat]

"Alright then, can't hurt." Flashing Alister an amused grin Coryn returned to one of his fans.

"Hey, turns out I couldn't stay away. Maybe you could help us? I keep hearing about these Hunting Lodges and I thought maybe you'd know where we could find one."

He flashed his winning smile for good luck.

"So you'll take me up on dinner after all?" The young blonde woman said with a smile, a hint of red touching her cheeks. She hadn't expected the man to return so quickly.

She tilted her head to the side at the question. "I know of a few of them, I can probably write down some directions for you if you'll lend me your datapad. Well, unless you think you can remember them."

[Coryn Kusat]

"Sure, let's make a date for tomorrow if you're free?" He gave her a smile and pulled out his datapad.

"Directions would be great, thank you. I don't fancy getting lost in the desert and missing dinner." He handed it over with a roguish grin.

[Evencious]

The Woman; Maeve, tried very hard not to let her excitement show. "It's a date then, Coryn." Taking the datapad from him, she brushed her fingers against his in the motion.

"I can't blame you there, the desert is a dangerous place." She turned the datapad her way and began typing out the directions. "It's mest to avoid it altogether at night too, and not only to avoid missing dinner."

"Thank you Maeve, tomorrow evening then?" He watched her as she typed the info. "So I've heard. Between the creatures, the bandits, and the weather there's plenty to watch out for. My friends and I can handle most problems though."

It certainly looked like they could, and she wasn't going to argue. "I'll look forward to it." She replied as she offered the datapad back to him. "Here ya go!"

"Thanks again Maeve, I'll see you tomorrow." He brushed her hand as he took the datapad back and smiled. "Have a great day."

"Okay Alister, let's go check out this hunting lodge."

A slight blush tinged the womans cheeks. "I will, you too Coryn... And be safe." She added before turning back to her shop.

Alister meanwhile had to keep from rolling his eyes. "Sounds good to me, just lead the way." The man offered evenly. Maybe this would work out after all..

Coryn seemed pretty pleased with Alister's response and smirked as they went off in search of a Hunters outpost.
