Down to Business (Day 7 LM)

Bits and pieces of what seemed like a series or big projects laid spread across the engineering room as Alister worked. He'd been here most of the day and would likely remain there.

Still he had a bit of business to discuss, so he gave Rose a call. Hopefully she'd be able to lend him a hand with this, even if she wasn't interested in his offer.

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose sauntered in as soon as the briefing had ended, musing on the motley crew they were accumulating. She flashed a grin at Alister, "what's up?"

[Alister Kryze]

"Not much, just working on a few things here." He gestured towards what rose could identify as parts of several sets of armor.

"Care to lend a hand and chat for a bit?"

[Rose Sorenn]

“Well now,” she raised an eyebrow, emerald eyes flashing with curiosity. Moving closer to the workbench, “you had me at, I’m in engineering; just tell me where to start.”

[Evencious]

That brought a small chuckle to his lips, and he gestured towards the second workbench. "That breastplate needs to be fused with the superstructure of the armor. If you could. The plans are on that datapad on the bench."

[Rose Sorenn]

Tapping the datapad, Rose brought up the schematics and set to work. “Something on your mind, big guy?” she could work in silence if he wanted, but he’d said something about a chat.

[Evencious]

"Yeah, I wanted to pick up the chat from a few days ago." Alister offered in reply. "About how much you like tinkering and all that. If you have the time."

[Rose Sorenn]

“Right,” Rose chuckled, “we were so rudely interrupted.” Their conversation had been cut off before it even started, and the redhead had essentially forgotten that Alister knocked on her door for something other than the intruders in engineering.

[Alister Kryze]

"Well, I was asking because this crew needs someone to maintain their gear, tinker around with what they come across and make sure they are really combat ready. It's not really a popular job though, and most say there isn't much glory in it,"

"Still I was wondering if you were interested in taking over for me as the Clan Armorer."

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose was clearly surprised, “you planning on retiring?” It was a good offer, it was an excellent offer, and that was probably why it was so surprising to the redhead

[Evencious]

"Not exactly. I'm here to help the Laerrin's get started, and get some armor for their new members. I've my own clan to return to after that." He replied with a shrug.

"I take it you're a bit interested though?"

[Rose Sorenn]

“Oh, yeah,” Rose laughed, “just a little bit,” she agreed. “Big job,” the redhead added.

[Alister Kryze]

"Yeah, it really is." He agree with a wry smile. "Though I think you're up to the task. At least that's what I think from what work of yours I've seen."

"Still, I don't expect a answe right away, so you have time to consider it."

[Rose Sorenn]

“I could say yes right now,” Rose answered, “it’s less a question of me being interested, and more if anyone else will take the idea seriously.”

[Evencious]

"Well, Treya and Rowan respect my decision and that's the only two opinions that matter to me." Alister replied with a shrug.

"Course the rest of the crew will have their opinions, but I'm sure you can sway them in your favor."

[Rose Sorenn]

Nodding, “my work doesn’t always speak for itself,”the redhead was proud but she wasn’t oblivious, “but if you’re staying on for a bit, then you’ve found yourself an apprentice.”

[Alister Kryze]

"Yeah I'll be on for a while, at least until we get back to Mandalore. So I can teach you what I know for the time being." He said with a smile.

"It will be a lot of work though."

[Rose Sorenn]

“A little hard work never killed anyone,” she waved a dismissive hand. “Plus, I need to practice my Mando’a.”

[Alister Kryze]

"I can help with that too." Though he didn't know how much she actually knew. "Should be able to teach you all the names for the tools at the very least."

[Rose Sorenn]

"Very important," Rose replied with a laugh. Her hands confidently moved over the armour she was working on, her day had taken a surprising turn.
