Chuckling, Phoebe didn't miss her cue to give Axel a proper fistbump now. "Bam."

"Alright. Time to go hit the gym and then the showers... this day ain't gonna start itself."

[Axel Ward]

"Yeah..." Axel nodded. "I gotcha. See you later, Pheebs."

He turned to go back to his own room, but then paused. "Hey. There's something I wanted to know. About the Resolnare. Uhhh..." Axel scratched his beard, grimacing.

[Phoebe Wren]

"Uh, sure," she paused, giving Axel her full attention.

"What's on your mind?"

[Axel Ward]

"Yeah, so..." Axel scratched his head awkwardly again. "The rule about teaching your kids... does that mean you're supposed to, y'know, have kids?"

Axel grimaced. It was a weird thing to ask, weirder to imagine.

[Phoebe Wren]

She blinked a few times as she processed Axel's question. A slow process because she hadn't expected that kind of question.

"Well... yes? I mean... yeah, the point is to build a family. Uuhm... biologically, or adoption. Both are fine. It's not a focus on bloodlines, but more on being part of a family - of a clan." She shrugged awkwardly.

[Axel Ward]

Axel considered this. "Huh." He finally said. There was a pause.

"Okay." Another pause.

Axel waved. "Well. See you later, Phoebe."

[Phoebe Wren]

She watched him as he slowly considered the answer, curious about what was going on behind the gruff exterior.

Not that she asked. After all, Axel too deserved his privacy.

"Sure... see you around, Axel." She waved in return, and got ready to get on with her day.
