(D3 MM Event) The Best Defense

[Rose Sorenn]

“Hon, I’m not the one hog-tied and about to be hand delivered to Jawas. I don’t think you understand how this works,” her smile was back. “See, you prove that you have valuable information, and then we—” she indicated to the others again, “decide if it’s good enough.”

[Evencious]

"I've seen enough holovids to know how this goes, I tell you what I know, then you decide it's not enough and feed me to the jawas anyways." He spat. "I want garuntees if you want to play games go ahead and start beating me or kill me already."

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose clucked her tongue, “so distrusting, what a shame.” She turned around, the redhead had a better game in mind. If the man was willing to be eaten by Jawas, so be it, but she figured that he’d start to sweat the closer they got to their destination.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Speeders are ready. I guess this dummy really wants to find out if he's what's cooking." Coryn shrugged and looked from Rose to the bandit. "Suit yourself pal, we did what we were paid to do. Maybe there's a bonus in it if we bring back take out?" He jumped into the driver's seat.

The man would stay silent for the ride, and eventually the crew would start getting closer to their destination and the tell tale sign of smoke could start to be seen on the horizon.

[Riza]

As they traveled, at some point, Riza made the off-handed comment, "Not exactly the brightest bunch. Should take the opportunity to endear himself while he has it, and we might not bring him to his doom. Choosing to not talk," she sighed, "just about makes it a sure thing. Don't see the sense in that."

Coryn replied. "Yeah, it's weird. Maybe he's just curious about whether Jawas really are cannibals, and wonders which body part they'll eat first?"

[Rose Sorenn]

“Nah,” Rose answered flippantly, “he just knows he’s got nothing that’ll save his hide.” She made sure he’d hear her say so.

[Riza]

"They wouldn't be cannibals," Riza picked up that thread and played with it, "unless he's a Jawa. Would just be a Jawa eating a... whatever he is," she said flippantly. Despite, likely, this fact being evident in his appearance.

"Though, they are pretty small.. and may want to keep the meat fresh. Best way to do that, without a freezer, is to just keep the body alive as you chop off the parts. Keeps the meat fresh and it's a lot less expensive than a freezer to store a living body for a few days."

[Rose Sorenn]

"Well, yeah," the redhead agreed, as if it were obvious. "Jawas eating Jawas is cannibalism, this is just the other other white meat."

[Evencious]

"Yeah, chat with ya with no garuntees." He glanced at the trio. "So when I spill the beans the red head can go. "You made a deal with me not my friends, and I get shot or fed to jawas anyways."

He shook his head. "Heck the fact you wouldn't even lie to me about a garuntee tells me I'm dead anyways. Might as well take what i know with me to spite you lot."

"So far you haven't even name dropped anything remotely useful to get us interested." He shrugged. "You don't seem to know shit about Mandalorians, or about negotiating. I'm guessing you weren't the brains of the operation. Anyway, if you did have information worth more to us than a Jawa bbq then it would be good for your buddy too."

[Rose Sorenn]

Scoffing, "he's not bright enough to save himself, you think he gives half a skrakk about his pal?" Rose shook her head and laughed.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Heh, maybe his pal's the one who does the thinking?" He gave Rose a grin. "Might as well knock this dummy out again and ask his friend."

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose lifted Bang in her left hand and made a show of switching it over to stun.

Coryn slowed the speeder to a stop and pulled up his goggles before turning to the thug. He gave the half-human half-idiot his best friendly smile.

"Look pal, this is your last chance so I really think you should talk to us. It would have been much easier to shoot you dead back there and call it a mission. But hey, you surrendered. Do you really think we want you guys eaten? Not that I believe the jawas would eat you, but we're Mandalorians not savages. So what do you say? Tell us everything you know that could help us and we'll let you go, somewhere safe, and not shoot you."

"If you'd have said that last part from the start this would of been much easier." He grumbled. "I might not be smart, but you don't talk without some sort of garuntee."

He spat. "Still never thought one crew of Mandolorians would go fucking up the work of another. Guess you guys had beef with him? Or maybe you were just unlucky."

[Coryn Kusat]

"Let's say it was bad luck to start with, but seems it's personal now. What's this about fucking up his work?" He looked at the other two. "Seems like this guy's useful after all."

[Evencious]

"We were working for him, a Mandolorian fellow pretty sure his name was Cadera?" He couldn't remember exactly. "Boss said he liked to choke people to death."

"He hired us to raid the jawas, apparently one of the troops of them had something he wanted. Boss knew what it was."

[Coryn Kusat]

"That's the guy. Oh, now that's more like it! Any chance you might have overheard what that thing was?" The thug had probably just saved himself and his friend.
