"Well, o suppose the man can be thankful it wasn't a spoon." Sard offered with a light laugh. "That wouldn't be a pleasant way to go, or so I assume."

[Riza]

Riza had been quietly contemplating that thought for a few moments before she finally set her drink down and said, "Makes sense now, why Mekota was so interested in your services."

"Got ourselves a real killer of men," she said but hid the real smirk this brought to her lips once more behind the glass.

[Axel Ward]

To Sard, Axel shrugged. "Probably not. But it doesn't really matter after, I suppose."

Riza, on the other hand, got a scowl. "That was then." He said shortly. After a moment, he added "Who's this Mekota?"

[Riza]

"Owner of the Maw, one of the local crime bosses. Seemed very eager to meet you once he knew you were on planet. More surprising since I was under the impression you were a nobody."

"Thought, maybe, he just liked the sound of your name but then I suppose he still just might. Good enough contact for work, even if he's testy, like most of them I suppose," she mused as she took another long drink before setting the glass down temporarily.

[Axel Ward]

Axel set down his mug heavily.

"I don't work for crime bosses." He said, his voice rough. "Not anymore. Understand? Doesn't matter what he wants, doesn't matter what he's payin'." Axel's scowl was just a touch darker than usual.

[Riza]

"I'm not his," she said, almost laughing if it could be imagined. "And it doesn't matter to me besides, he's a contact that pays. Can't always afford to make those distinctions but then I never really cared to. I have my work, and I do it well. Well enough it keeps me in this fine company," she raised her glass to indicate Sard.

[Axel Ward]

Axel shrugged. "I don't care whose he is. I'm not gonna meet him. Not for work, anyway. And that goes for any crime boss, just so that's clear."

He gave the old man a nod. "You're not a crime boss, are you? You seem alright to me."

[Evencious]

"Crime boss? Far from it, I'm just a old hunters who spends his days drinking." He offered with a smile. "So my business deals more with creatures then people."

"Does that mean I end up hearing some things going on? Yes, but its outside my interests most of the time."

[Riza]

"I don't really care what you do," she commented briefly to Axel. Seeking the relaxation of a drink while the conversation continued slightly.

"I'll hunt beasts for whoever pays, it's easy and simple," and keeps her out of view where people can't always find her. Though, she wouldn't say that.

[Axel Ward]

Axel chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, I'll bet you don't, Riza." He took another drink.

Sighing, he set it back down. "That's your thing? Killing beasts?" His voice was monotone, but Axel still sounded at least a little curious.
