Starburst (D7 EN)

Coryn took another swig, his expression a little darker as he looked away. Something was up, but it could have been any number of things.

"No idea. Maybe when he wakes up he'll tell us."

[Phoebe Wren]

The expression didn't go unnoticed, and she felt the tension grow more.

Maybe it hadn't been time to share it yet.

"Maybe..." Phoebe tapped her fingers against the table nearby, looking away too. "At least we got him now. No more time spent following up leads or hoping to track him down."

[Rose Sorenn]

If she’d been able to slink away unnoticed, Rose might have. There was something deeper going on here, something she wasn’t part of. She drank when it was her turn, but otherwise remained the wallflower.

"So..."

Crank drummed his fingers against the chair arm. He looked at some of the equipment. The bottle. His datapad. An idea sprung to mind.

"Huttball?"

[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe snorted a brief laugh about that. "I remember you saying you wanted to do some Huttball practice as a team-excersice."

[Axel Ward]

Axel raised a hand. "I'm in." He said.

Whether this was watching a game or playing it didn't really mater.

[Rose Sorenn]

“Sure,” Rose added, drumming her fingers in the bed beside her as she was wont to do.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Alright, let's see who's playing." He called up the season schedule on his datapad. "I mean, we could have played...but Axel had to go and hurt himself."

Coryn managed a grin which he threw at his friend before passing over the device. "Pick a game, any game."

[Axel Ward]

"You think an injury like this'd stop me?" Axel smirked.

He frowned down at the device for a few moments; fortunately his head was feeling a bit better. "Red Hawkbats have a game. We're watching them." Axel nodded decisively. He tossed it back to Coryn to set up.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Red Hawkbats huh? Didn't see you as a fan, although their team captain is pretty cute..." He smirked and got the game going. It was a relief to do something that didn't require too much thought.

"Anyone want a beer? I can go grab a cooler and fill it?"

[Phoebe Wren]

"No thanks," she gave a shake of her head. That swig of whiskey was all she was going to allow herself now, knowing she had worked ahead of her later.

With the game to distract the awkwardness for now, Phoebe embraced the distraction. "So who's the team captain?"

Still pretty clueless to all the nuances of Huttball.

"The Zabrak with the big Red Hawkbat on her jacket and crazy tattoos. She's got game for sure." He looked at Axel. "Remember the time she tricked that Cartel enforcer into kicking the ball. Heh, so many sad Hutts, it was a good day."
