(D4 EE) Routine Maintenance - Riza

[Nekoinu]

The hunter caught it and then pocketed it. "Ah, and here I didn't decide to kill you partially because I wanted my credits." He held up his hands. "Not the only reason."

He turned towards the hangar bay. "They sent their heaviest hitters over there. Hoping to open up the hangars and board with more men."

[Riza]

"What's the angle you're playing here Hunter?" she asked, shifting the weapon to rest on her hip and pointed upward.

[Nekoinu]

"Me? Currently looking for more money, more entertainment." The hunter traced his finger near the edge of his blade. "Wookiees get enraged at the sight of this thing."

He then shrugged. "I did come here for the bounties but, with all the sharing, it wouldn't be much."

[Riza]

"You tend not to make up your mind on what you're going to do before you get aboard a ship boarding?" she shook her head.

[Nekoinu]

"I couldn't call you to make the offer before," he explained. He looked down at the corpses and nudged the one he had stabbed. "Hire me again and I'll help kill off the boarders."

[Riza]

"That would be between you and Clan Laerrin, it's their ship under attack..." she almost elaborated but held herself back. "End of the day, your deal is with them if you want to strike one. I'll lend my words to give support your ability, can't offer more."

"End of the day," she shook her head, remembering a slight lesson from before. Better to be careful with her words. Needless to say, if this were the end of Clan Laerin, Riza had no intention of letting it be where he story ended, she still had people to kill.

[Nekoinu]

"You are not of Clan Laerrin?" The hunter then waved his finger like he had back in the Maw. "That doesn't matter. Get me in contact with somebody who can negotiate, then."

[Riza]

"I don't hold the purse strings," she corrected, "and my personal funds are mine. Getting to that hangar and proving yourself against these intruders will go far to earn their respect. With their respect, getting paid should not be much of a leap."

[Nekoinu]

The hunter rotated his sword around his wrist a couple times in thought. "You suck at negotiation," he said, "You're lucky that I was already in the mood to kill these guys."

He shrugged. "The Hutts ripped me off a few times. Thought their pet project did more of the work than me.

"I should kill that girl sometime."

[Riza]

"I'm not trying to negotiate," she reminded as she glanced toward his sword and switched into her comm unit. Transmitting what she knew about the attack's focus on the hanger on the ships channel.

"Anything else you wanted to share?" she asked when he added in something about a pet project of the hutts.

[Nekoinu]

"Nah," the hunter said, "I'm sure she'll be there on Corellia, though." He started marching off towards the direction of the hangar as if he had been on the ship before. "Big gang war coming up. Maybe the Black Sun or the Exchange will appreciate her dead.

"Course, they won't like me helping you lot either. Clan Laerrin is very unpopular right now."

[Riza]

"What's got us so unpopular with the gangs?" she asked, securing the armory as best she could in prep.

[Nekoinu]

"Bounties, messing up a job, killing raiders. Mainly the bounties though." The hunter shrugged. "You're not even wanted because of some silly reason like pissing off some noble. Lots of you crossed criminal organizations themselves.

"And now you're all teaming up. Think in their shoes: do you want some upstarts carving out control in the galaxy?"

[Riza]

The Ascendancy was going to play on that, she knew, but perhaps... perhaps she might be able to work that angle to her advantage. At least there's some safety there, they all had enemies now.

"Understood," she nodded to show this, before adding, "then I will have to get used to the idea of stacking a few more piles of bodies along my way."

Riza glances over toward the line of bodies, where each of the boarders died as they fought their way to her, "I can handle that."

[Axel Ward]

From the main part of the ship, Axel arrived. Armed with a knife.

And covered with blood. And some blaster burns.

"Riza." He grunted. He glanced to the newcomer, frowning with dark suspicion. "Who's your friend?" His muscled body was tense, coiled to strike.

[Nekoinu]

"Friend is a strong word," the hunter said. His masked visage went to the lockers. "You have some nice swords. I prefer non-vibro weapons but I may just have to make the switch."

[Riza]

"No one of note, except that he is not a target to worry about," she glanced at him, her visor turning in the hunters direction, "for now, at least."

With her rifle at an eased position she cocked her head to the side, toward the lockers, "You gonna gear up or fight the rest of the boarders off in your underwear? They'll be massing in the hangar, attempting to let more of their friends aboard."

[Nekoinu]

"I'm hurt," the hunter remarked. He squatted down and poked one of the corpses. "Not as much as these guys, though."

[Axel Ward]

"No one of note, except that he is not a target to worry about," she glanced at him, her visor turning in the hunters direction, "for now, at least."

With her rifle at an eased position she cocked her head to the side, toward the lockers, "You gonna gear up or fight the rest of the boarders off in your underwear? They'll be massing in the hangar, attempting to let more of their friends aboard."

Axel scowled. "What do you think? But I'm not about to strip down in front of an enemy."

Still, he did casually change out of his blood-covered clothes. It helped somewhat. As quickly as he could, he put on his armor, and outfitted himself with his assortment of weapons. Keeping the knife close to hand the whole time.

[Orella Laerrin]

Orella went to her locker and retrieved her authentic beskar'gam. The plates were colored in olive green over a black body glove. She stripped down without much thought, used to it from times of war. Apparently she didn't share the same sentiment as Axel.

"Looks like we'll just need to focus on the hangar for now. Mother got the countermeasures to hold off the second wave of pods."
