She gave an affirmative nod and put away her weapons. With her hands freed up, she touched the headset on her head to call up the first name.

Happened to be in alphabetical order by first name too, so Axel was the first to be called.

While waiting for the response on the other end, her hands were going through the gear of the two fallen boarders, checking for their comms.

"Axel?"

Axel Ward wrote:Axel answered instantly, raising his comm to his lips.

"Wren. You okay?"

He turned to Orellia. "Can you make sure this call's secure?" Axel did keep the transmitter on, so Phoebe would be able to hear, too.

"Hurt but alive. Better off than the ones coming for us."

Hearing that Axel asked if the line was secure, she held off giving details for the moment. "You got company?"

Axel Ward wrote:Axel chuckled darkly. "That's what I like to hear, Wren."

After getting the nod from Orella, Axel spoke again. "Orella says the comms are secure. We're headed to the armory. See if we can get our gear, finish off the rest of these scumbags. What's your move?"

"Orella's with you?" it was somewhere between a question and a statement, so that the mother-bear nearby would know that one of her cubs was safe. For the time being.

"Right. Treya and I are holding the bridge, and I've looted the comms of those who tried to seize the bridge. Plan is that we see if we can use their comm-lines to track their movements, as well as coordinate our own folks to show these sons of Hutts that they messed with the wrong clan. Securing the armory is a good move; it should be the rendezvous point for the others."

"My daughter has done well with the cameras," Treya noted. She pulled up a display for Phoebe to follow the comings and goings of the Hutts. There were still several groups mulling about, clearing the ship. In some, former slaves were hiding, a few killed.

And in one camera, there was a group trying to break into Axel and Coryn's room.

On the outside, there were more boarding pods attaching to the ship. "Aha, the second wave. Let's see if they like the Aurora's countermeasures."

She saw the display, and assessed what she could see so far. "Pretty good job. Give Orella our thanks." Phoebe tapped her headset as Riza's message chimed in as well. "Riza's at the armory as well, should be no opposition on your way. She'll fill you in on the sit."

Looking over the displays, she saw a group trying to break into one of the cabins. It seemed like Axel and Coryn's room.

"Hope you don't have anything too valuable in your bunk, Breaker. Some of them are trying to break into your room." She paused and looked to Treya. "How hard are those doors to open up anyway?"

On the outside cameras, the pods shown received an electrical surge and detached from the Aurora. The lucky ones simply drifted off. A few pods, though, lose their vacuum seal. The mercenaries inside those were sucked out into space.

"If they're determined, it won't be impossible. It's not like the armory or the bridge."

A holocall blipped onto the main monitor. Kairi, decked in her full gear, was lying alongside several corpses. Even without the visual, anyone on comms could hear the blaster bolts flying part her or hitting her cover.

"They're trying to hack into the console," she managed to say. One of the mercs came up over her position. She swatted his rifle away, taking a shot to the shoulder instead of the head. Despite the wound, she drove her dagger into the man's throat before collapsing back among the bodies.

She crawled over to the recently deceased's weapon. "I think they want to open the hangar." A clink and then a couple of thuds landed next to her recorder. A small boom and the connection cut out.

"Haar'chak!" Her fist connected with the wall as frustrations began to mount.

Axel Ward wrote:"There's survivors in my room. I gotta go help them."

"Axel, no," Phoebe voice was firm. Authorative. "The hangar, and the ones there, takes priority. Get your ass over there now." Blast! Why are these guys even attacking us like this?

Running a hand over her forehead, she looked to Treya. "I can get to the cabins faster than them anyway. Unless we got someone else nearby, because we can't afford to lose the bridge."

"Make your way to the hangar," Treya ordered. She leaned over the table, watching the movements of everyone aboard the ship. "The rest are stragglers, looting, unprofessional. The cohesive unit is down there."

The link was disconnected. "Axel? Axel! Damnit." Phoebe hoped Axel survived (and herself for that matter), so she could punch him in the face.

"Yes, ma'm. I'll keep my comm-lines open," good thing she had the headset on most of the time. She grimaced and stimmed herself up to ignore the throbbing in her muscles from the blaster shots earlier, and left Treya at the bridge
