Kairi, Xavien, and Orella are candidates for taking on the mantle of Chieftain of Clan Laerrin after their father, Rowan. At the start of the game, the candidates will have the current points:
Kairi: 7
Xavien: 5
Orella: 4
Many events will affect their standing. Also, once per session, you may support a candidate, raising their standing, and criticize another, lowering their standing. Note that a candidate can never go below 0 in terms of points.
Roll one of the following at Average Difficulty with One Die Upgraded: Charm, Coercion, Deception, Leadership, Negotiation, Knowledge: Core Worlds, Knowledge: Outer Rim, Knowledge: Underworld, Knowledge: Warfare.
On basic success, add/subtract a point. With 3 successes, add/subtract 2 points. With 6 successes, add/subtract 3 points. Any additional successes are lost.
Advantage/Threat will be spent to affect next session’s rolls at a 2-to-1 ratio. For example, 2 Advantage to support one candidate will add a Setback to disparaging that candidate for all rolls the next session. Unlike usual, the resulting Boost/Setback dice will cancel each other out. For the last session, these Advantage/Threat will be lost.
Triumph/Despair will be resolved on a case-by-case basis.
