[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe leaned for a moment on her sword as she caught her breath. Then with a grunt hoisted the weapon up again and wiped off the blood before returning it to its place on her back.

"Brother," she waved over to Coryn as she began to approach him. "Let me check your wound."

Looking to Treya, then to the incapacitated mother, she took in the sight and the details of the fight now that the adrenaline was dying off. "... It's a good start. Good fight together against a worthy foe."

[Coryn Kusat]

"I guess I was asking for that." Coryn chuckled as he got to his feet. "Yeah, I'm good. That was pretty freaking spectacular!"

"Thanks for that Phoebe."

The damage hasn't been too bad but her stims were quite welcome. He got to his feet and checked that his equipment was all fine.

"Hell of a way to start the day."

Phoebe the field medic worked fast and accepted no winces or whinging. The backpack she wore was like a mechanic's worksuit and tool-belt rolled into one neat package, providing her with what she needed to make the cleaning, disinfecting, and dressing off the bite-wound the most efficient it could possibly be.

[Riza]

Riza, for her part, took a moment to cool down and knelt beside the juvenile that now lay dead. Taking the moment to check over her firearm. While Coryn's wounds were tended to, Riza spent the time merely going over and double checking her gear.

[Treya Laerrin]

"Very efficient," Treya noted as she watched Phoebe at work. She nodded in approval and then looked at her jetpack's diagnostics. "Show my children some tips sometime," she suggested in her stern, motherly voice.

She then flew over to the fully-sized beast and inspected the traps. A few moments later, one of the failed mechanisms snapped forward, ending the beast's suffering for good.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Good as new." It probably wouldn't even scar. Well, maybe a little bit. Nodding his thanks to their incredible field medic Coryn looked over at Treya as she flew to the bigger dragon.

"Never seen one up close before. I wonder if Alister can do anything with some of those giant scales?"

[Riza]

"It's the pearls," Riza spoke up, "that these beasts are hunted for. Could be a fortune sitting in that things gizzard. Juvenile probably has something worthy in it's gizzard as well, but the mother might have a pearl worthy enough to buy an easy life for quite some time."

"To the victors go the spoils?" Riza asked, looking to Treya. Almost seeming to be itchy to get to work on the carcass.

[Coryn Kusat]

"Oh yeah, the infamous dragon pearls. Never seen one before." He sized up the carcass a moment wondering if Krayt Dragon claws or teeth would make a nice knife.

It was Treya's mission so he looked to her for their next moves.

[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe patted Coryn on the arm. "It wasn't that bad."

As the others were talking about dragon pearls, she was packing up the medical equipment and following the look to their leader.

"These pearls, do all the krayt dragons have them?"

[Treya Laerrin]

Treya pulled out a traditional Kal dagger and got to work. "One," she announced, "One pearl. Imagine what rubbish it'd be if she hadn't had any."

She stowed it away in a secure container on the pretense of the clan's welfare. The clan had, after all, supplied the traps necessary to slay the beast in the first place.

"Alister will have something in store for you lot, along with the rest of the crew. We'll repurpose the scales too, but more importantly," Treya paused, removing her helmet. Her eyes narrowed on each of them before she smirked ever so faintly. "Need to dedicate your victory to something. Come on then, don't be shy."

[Coryn Kusat]

He gave Phoebe a grin and seemed pleased by Treya's announcement. "Well that's easy." Coryn lifted his rifle up in one hand and shouted. "To Clan Laerrin!"

[Riza]

While Coryn gave his shout, Riza spoke instead softly but with heart, "May traitors and betrayers find themselves without their heart."

It was in Cheunh, the language of the Chiss, and was used clearly to conceal exactly what she had dedicated this hunt to from any who would hear, even if they managed to pick up her voice.

[Phoebe Wren]

"For Laerrin, for glory!" Phoebe pumped her fist in the air with enthusiasm and sincerity.

[Treya Laerrin]

Treya nodded at Riza and then looked to Phoebe and Coryn. "Bah, that's too easy. You're among friends, eh? Be a bit more specific."

[Coryn Kusat]

Coryn looked at Treya, looked at the dragon's partially limbless corpse, and nodded. Taking a deep breath he looked back at Treya. "This is for my murdered parents, my squadmates, and everyone I've lost before their time. Clan Laerrin is my new family, and this is my first step in building a new legacy. Killing the most famous predator in the galaxy seems like a good way to begin."

[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe didn't frown, but her lips pressed into a thin line. Why wasn't it good enough? Glory and honor is what she wanted... mostly.

... And these were her brothers and sisters now.

She silently looked at the dead beasts, perhaps in hope that they would give some answers.

[Riza]

Riza, though she made no outward show of it, watched Phoebe as she seemed lost in thought for a spell.

Treya looked between all of them and made her silent judgments. She then turned back and got to work at harvesting the scales.
